| Agitatons in Geneva against Expert Panel |

The Sri Lankans living in Europe staged a protest campaign opposite the UN office in Geneva demanding the immediate abolishment of the expert panel appointed by the UN Gen secretary. These patriotic Sri Lankans came in buses from all over Europe and alleged that Ban Ki Moon has violated the UN charter by appointing this panel as Sri Lanka is a sovereign nation and a member of the UN and this panel appointed to investigate the perfectly legal act of destroying terrorism has no jurisdiction to do so.
This agitation was coordinated by the United Sri Lanka Organization in Italy. |
