S. B apologizes UNPers as he joins Rajapaksha
UNP parliamentarian and the central province main UNP organizer S.B. Dissanayaka announced his decision to join the Mahinda Rajapaksha led United People’s Freedom Alliance yesterday.
Rumors emerged well before yesterday of Dissanayaka’s swapping of sides when rifts between him and the main opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinghe surfaced. The speculations seemed to be confirmed when President Mahinda Rajapaksha himself decided to pay a visit at S.B’s provincial state home late this weekend.

“The decision had been coming for long time. The past and newly joined UPFA leader foremost apologized to all UNPers who had respected him at his party leadership. “if there is anyone to ruin the UNP there is none other than Ranil Wickremasingha, the very leader of opposition. Every single decision of the party matters are been taken by him without any consultation from any of the party members. It is ironical that he is campaigning for the reestablishment of Democracy when his own party shows zero amount of democracy within it.”

“I won’t be the last one to quit UNP. There are many who will abandon UNP for the sake of saving it. We are initiating the step to save UNP from the drastic efforts of Wickremasingha.”

Answering to some of the questions put forth by the Journalists, S.B said he had taken charge of the Campaign to support the Mahinda Rajapaksha retain Presidency. “there is no one to stop president Rajapaksha from governing the country for the next 6 years. He will beat Sarath Fonseka with astoundingly high results and I will do everything within my power to help him do it.” Replying to the question of whether UPFA will agree to join him in to the election campaign, S.B stated that if they won’t relate him to anything, he will cling to the campaign till the party needs his support.

He further refuted the rumors of him becoming the prime minister of Rajapaksha Governance for the coming years.
