Gen. Fonseka Back in SL
General Sarath Fonseka has returned to the country the spokes person for the Bandaranayaka National airport stated today. The flight with general Fonseka returned from a US trip landed 5.30 a.m on SL time and was immediately driven away under tight security, an airport official said.

The Government Spokes person stated that no speculated interrogation of General Sarath Fonseka had taken place. The chief of Defense staff has avoided being questioned by the US state department, when requested for a ‘voluntary interview’. General Fonseka, who holds US permanent residency, had been on a private visit to Oklahoma to visit his two daughters, when such insistence was displayed from the US state department.

Such Interrogation is completely baseless and such conductance would not have had any legal rights, the Government spokesperson further stated. As instructed swiftly by the Government of Sri Lanka, chief defense staff Sarath Fonseka had not given any interview to any US based state or military Department.
