A special committee was appointed b the govt headed by Attorney at law Gomin Dayasiri recently to conduct investigations in this regard and make suitable recommendations to the govt.

The govt has got many complaints in the recent past about NGOs sponsoring activities that are harmful to the peace and sovereignty in the country and how the funds they get are not being spent for the purposes for which they are sent.
