Samarasinghe meets Pillai |

The minister for Human Rights and Disaster Management Mahinda Samarasinghe MP has gone to Geneva to meet the commissioner of UN Human Rights Council Mrs. Navaneethampillai to enlighten her on the steps the government is taking to ensure the Human Rights in the country.
The government has decided to meet Pillai in order to counter
allegations raised by former Army Chief General Sarath Fonseka
regarding the final stages of the conflict.
Minister Samarasingha is been accompanied by Attorney General Mohan
Peiris. Both men will also meet United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees Antonio Guterres to discuss the allegations by the General.
