TULF & EPDP to go solo PDF Print E-mail
The Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) has decided to contest the forthcoming general election without aligning with any alliance. TULF President V. Anandasangaree said “ “We will be contesting definitely. As it is, we are going alone,” in a telephone interview with Sri Lanka Watch. Meanwhile Douglas Devananda, Minister and leader, EPDP said that the party high command is studying whether to contest under Veena, party symbol or in coalition under the betel symbol. EPDP is facing the upcoming general election taking the possibility of getting political rights of Tamils and regular issues of the people and contemporary political trend and the prospective political climate in the country into account. Therefore, we will take a better decision focusing more on the wishes of our people and their demands, he said further.
