GOSL rejects Solheim’s request PDF Print E-mail
The request made by Norwegian development Minister Erik Solheim from the govt to conduct an investigation in to incidents of election law violations during the presidential polls, has been fully rejected by the govt yesterday. A senior govt source said that Solheim’s statement is wrong and he has no right what so ever to get involved in internal affairs of Sri Lanka.

He made these requests in a message sent to the President after the presidential elections, in which he has also requested the govt to find a solution to the Tamil people, which again were rejected by the govt. Govt sources also added that Erik Solheim is now trying to get involved in Sri Lankan affairs once again and has said that he will support Sri Lankan affairs
