Consular Services in Jaffna soon PDF Print E-mail
According to the Secretary to the foreign ministry Romesh Jayasinghe a decision has been made to decentralize to north and east and other parts of the country with all consular services that are run by the foreign ministry. The Ministry is now focusing on establishing this network in Jaffna peninsula as soon as possible.

The Director of the Department of Immigration and Emigration Mr. P.B. Abeykoon said that plans are underway to set up Immigration and Emigration offices in Jaffna and Batticaloa under the direction of the President.

He said this will ease the people in the North and the East in attending to their foreign travel documents.
