56 Ex LTTE ers Free again |

After completion of rehabilitation training 56 persons were handed over to their parents. Those who were rehabilitated at Welikada Navanesapuram rehabilitation camp are the ones who were handed over to the parents.
Major General Daya Ratnayake the officer-in-charge of the
rehabilitation project said this is another batch hat had been handed
over to their parents.
Many thousands surrendered during the war and some others were arrested
after they came to the camps in Vavuniya. They were given
rehabilitation in many centers that were opened all over the country.
They were given education and technical training. Those that completed
the rehabilitation programs are being released in stages according to
the government decision. As the second batch of people to be released
these 56 persons are being released he said. Others would be released
in the same way in future.
The 56 persons were handed over to their parents after a period of one
year in a ceremony presided over by Major Gen. R.M.D. Ratnayake, the
Commissioner General of Rehabilitation.
