Tilvin’s Big mistake. PDF Print E-mail
Tilvin Silva, prominent JVP parliamentarian had accidentally said Sarath Fonseka is responsible for the lack of Democracy and pollution stampeded in the country. This was while the JVP Parliamentarian was energetically voicing his undivided support for the retired General, campaigning at the upcoming presidential Elections this month.

However he corrected his mistake the very instance, stating “I’m sorry. I was meaning to say Mahinda Rajapaksha”. The JVP MP also requested the media to refrain from editing the voice record and casting it in the wrong context.

This little mistake from Tilvin Siva’s part had resulted in some sneering and sniggering comments from the counter side. Especially when this happened to be Tilvin’s second time in biting his tongue. A few days earlier, while everyone was gaping at him in surprise, Tilvin in a sudden lapse of memory, said to his supporters to go and vote for the ‘bell’ when it should really have been for the ‘swan’ symbol representing Sarath Fonseka.

‘Bell’ symbolically represents JVP although the party hasn’t nominated a presidential candidate but is supporting the former Army Commander for the presidential polls.

There is always a first time for everything, but a second time makes one wonder of strange lapse in memories.
