President assures a secure future for all at inaugural election rally |

President Mahinda Rajapaksa started his inaugural presidential election rally in Anuradapura today.
Addressing his inaugural presidential election rally he told a mammoth gathering that he would secure a future for the present generation and the unborn, in the way he ended the war to restore peace to take this nation forward towards prosperity.
The President said "We have saved this country from Tiger terrorism for all politicians to hold meetings without fear",
He said development activities at large scale continued to benefit the people and more development schemes would emerge soon.
Rajapakse said his government or he would not seek money from Prabakaran's parents for any matter, but would depend on the farming community to develop this country and make it self sufficient.
