“I ignored the danger of executive Precidentcy” – Gen. Fonseka PDF Print E-mail
Common candidate of the opposition General Sarath Fonseka said that even though he saw the danger of the Executive Presidency, he had to ignore it as he was an armed soldier. He further said that a writer, who was found guilty of writing a letter, is imprisoned for 20 years and a criminal, who killed a man, is released only after six years because of the influence of the Executive Presidency and he, who thought of sitting pretty after he retired, was pulled into politics because of the executive presidency.
He added that he saw the danger of the executive presidency for a long time because he was not a deaf or dumb.
