S.Bs leave is no blow to UNP says Attanayaka PDF Print E-mail
UNP Parlimantarian Thissa Attanayaka yesterday expressesd the party’s groundings on the leave of S.B Dissanayaka. “When the party took the decision at the UNP national council to back Sarath Fonseka at the next election, S. B Disanayaka showed no reluctancy in signing the agreement to nominate him as the candidate from UNP. Therefore his statement saying the decision was taken without his acknowledgement is fictional”

“His abundance of the party has no significance to UNP. If he wants to support the the ongoing Rajapaksha regime and the continual dismissal in corruption and manipulated politics, it is for his own benefit. It is evident that Minister Dissanayaka is following the usual trend of practicing politics for his advantage. It is a sad state.”

Minister Attanayaka also said that there will be no possible chance of a defeat of Fonseka. “If S.B Dissanayaka is cherishing such hopes we are sorry to tell him that he is hallucinating. We will make sure that Genaral Sarath Fonseka is the next president of Sri Lanka.”
