Foreign trips for Doctors cancelled PDF Print E-mail
As a precautionary execution for the prevailing A-H1N1 flu and dengue fever, the health ministry has suspended all unnecessary foreign leave for government doctors till January 31st 2010. The spokesperson for the government affirmed that the decision has been taken due to the pressing necessity of assistance and expertise from the government doctors health officials.

Meanwhile the out break of A-H1N1 flu has dramatized the anxiety of the public, forcing them to send samples unnecessarily to the Medical Research Institute (MRI) the moment symptoms of fever and cough is developed. Only 250 samples from 850 sent to MRI so far had been tested positive of A-H1N1.

The vaccine for A-H1N1 imported from USA is to be administered to a number of chosen patients first, due to its high demand from the World Health Organization.
