MS Abdulla, President, Red Cross, Kattankudy chaired the event and SH Muzamil, Divisional Secretary, graced the occasion as chief guest. Red Cross branches operating in the Eastern Province do not possess permanent buildings and Red Cross, Germany came forward to construct permanent structure.

As the first phase of the program, new building for Red Cross, Kattankudy is being constructed. Marzook Ahmed, chairman, Urban Council Kattankudy, T Vasantharaja, former district president, Red Cross, and M Ajees, Grama Sevaka attended the event.
