Tamil & Muslim Politicians say they are far from 13th Amendment PDF Print E-mail
Tamil and Muslim leaders that met in Zurich have stressed the need to go beyond the 13th amendment to find a solution to the ethnic problem in Lanka.

The meeting which was held from the 20th to 23rd they discussed on the problem in detail. The leaders agreed on the agenda for the next meeting and the same group that organized the discussion would also take steps to have the next meeting either in Lanka or in some other country.

The summit was organized by the London based Tamil Information Center, widely known to be sympathetic towards the LTTE with the support of 3 NGOs funding the event with large amount of Euros including first class flights from Sri Lanka.

Sources close to Sri Lanka Watch in Switzerland say the  accommodation and hotel expenses were been taken over by the Swiss Government. General Tamil Diaspora was not permitted to the meetings where as few foreign NGO heads were invited. In their talks all these foreign NOG heads have stressed the importance of Tamils and Muslims to stand together as one force to gain their rights from the majority Sinhalese. One NGO head is reported to have said “only then will you be able to make your dreams come true”.
