Summit on strategy of Tamil speaking Community in Switzerland PDF Print E-mail
Tamil Information Center, which was set up at the early days of Tamil National Freedom Struggle with the aim of bringing all Tamil movements under single banner, is organizing the above summit which starts today in Zurich.

Leaders of Tamil and Muslim political parties and representatives of Tamil Diaspora will take part in the summit. The aim of the summit is to find a healthy path to work all Tamil and Muslim political parties together in future.

Many Tamil-Muslim leaders from Sri Lanka have gone to Switzerland to attend a three day discussion.
The discussion is to focus on the necessity to carry on the future political strategy and activities of Tamil and Muslim communities with unity.

Parliamentarians, Sampanthan, Mavai Senathiraja, Suresh Premachandran, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam along with Henry Mahendran, opposition leader, Kalmunai Municipal Council, have come to Zurich to attend the meeting on behalf of TNA.

Meanwhile, V Anandasangari, TULF, Minister, Douglas Devananda, leader, EPDP, Tharmalinkam Sitharthan, leader, PLOTE, Sritharan, leader, EPRLF (Pathmanapa Front) have arrived for this meeting

According to sources Invitation is also extended to Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, Chief Minister, Eastern Provincial Council and Minister, Muralitharan (Karuna).

Chandrakanthan, Chief Minister is in overseas now and is not clear whether he will attend the meeting. Sources close to Minister, Muralitharan (Karuna) say that he will not attend the meeting.

It is been reported Rauf Hakeem, leader, Muslim Congress, Hasan Ali, MP and Secretary, Muslim Congress and Ministers, Athaulla and Rizad Badiuddeen are also to attend the meeting in Zurich.
