20,000 Muslims & Sinhalese seek resettling in Jaffna PDF Print E-mail
20,000 Muslim and Sinhalese families have applied to get resettled in Jaffna. Minister of rehabilitations and disaster management Mr. Rizarth Badiudeen reveled this at a special press conference held at the Parliament Complex.  Steps have been taken to resettle the Muslim and Sinhalese civilians who were expelled during the war. The government has invited those who were displaced to India from North also to come back. After resettling the IDPs others would be resettled. Government hopes to resettle all the displaced civilians before the 31st of January 2010.
