Karuna and Pillayan on war heads PDF Print E-mail
SLW News Desk Colombo

The continuing rift between Minister Vinayagamurthi Muralitharan (Karuna Amman) and Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan has lengthened considerably with Minister Muralitharan’s statement of Chief Minister Chandrakanthan regarding his competency in handling the post of the chief Minister for Eastern Province. The National Integration Minister claims of the existence of far worthier candidates for the post which Pillayan currently perches on.
Minister Muralitharan also stated the Government’s earlier preference of Pillayan handling the affairs of the east has been largely due to Pillayan’s strategy of misguiding and misleading some of the men of the top seats which subsequently resulted in him landing on the post of Chief Minister. A move initially received the approval of the Minister Muralitharan himself which is bitterly regretted now.

The Minister blamed Pillayan for spreading Racism and Discord among the Tamil communities of the east acclaiming of the Government’s current reluctance to associate with Pillayan administration without a drastic revolution in his thinking process.

Stating the need of a well educated Chief Minister with the Recognition of the communities under his belt, Minister MU claims the incumbent Batticolor Mayor Sivageetha Prabakaran is more than up to scratch for the top job.
