The British Foreign secretariat says that Sri Lanka govt should carry out a systematic investigation in to the allegations of human rights violations and war crimes.
British Foreign secretary William Haig has told international media
yesterday that the investigations being carried out in this regard in
Sri Lanka is not adequate and the Sri Lankan govt should take necessary
steps to conduct these investigations in a broader based manner, through
which the relations between Sri Lanka and Britain could be further
strengthened.
