Out of 360 Tigers 211 pass GCE AL PDF Print E-mail
Commissioner of rehabilitation Brig. Sudantha Ranasinghe stated that 211 former LTTE cadres held in rehabilitation centres will be sitting for the GCE O/L exams this year.

These children surrendered to the defence forces after the Wanni operation and steps were immediately taken to give them education under an education plan prepared by the Rehabilitation Ministry. There are some children who could not go to school for 2-3 years after joining the LTTE.

Ranasinghe said that 4 of them passed in Maths, 7 in Bio science, 34 in commerce and 166 in arts and out of them about 50 will be able to enter the Universities.
