SL can reply to British Govt. if specific details are given PDF Print E-mail
Sri Lankan high commissioner in London Mr. Nihal Jayasinghe has told the British govt that they are ready to reply to these allegations if they can pinpoint precisely the war crimes that is supposed to have taken place in Sri Lanka.

He was responding to a statement made by British prime Minister David Cameroon requesting in a TV interview to hold an independent inquiry in to the war crimes that is said to have taken place in Sri Lanka.

High commissioner Jayasinghe also said that the Sri Lankan govt never made any attacks targeting the civilians and if an investigation should be held in to these so called allegations the British govt should be more specific on how this inquiry should be held.
