Extremists disrupting Muslim Unity in SL PDF Print E-mail
Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, addressing the Trincomalee dist meeting of Multi religious and Multi communal coexistence organization, stated that some extremist Muslim factions and organizations based in foreign countries are trying to disrupt the unity of Muslims living in Sri Lanka. He also said the following.

“In recent times there were problems among Muslims living in this country because of questionable activities of certain sects. Certain Extremist organizations based in foreign countries are behind this and I summoned Muslim leaders to my office a few times and explained this to them and asked them not to create divisions among Muslims as that would lead to hatred. So I request from all Muslims with respect not to divide you and not to get caught in foreign conspiracies. The best way to solve any issue is through discussions”.
