Four Minister to be charged PDF Print E-mail
The Ministry of state administration is to take legal action against four former ministers, who are staying in their official residences at Keppetipola Mawatha Summit flats by force where they will also be penalized. Among them are a deputy minister that represents Badulla dist, deputy Minister of the Congress party, a member of the TNA and the wife of a late minister, who represented the southern province. The cabinet paper requesting permission for the widow of the late southern minister to remain in these flats was also turned down by the Cabinet.

A senior officer of the ministry said that the former deputy minister from Badulla is trying to stay in these premises claiming to be holding a very senior position of the govt, but this position does not permit an official residence. He also said that these people would be given two months relief period to vacate the premises and if they still do not leave they will be penalized and evicted.
