“Anura Kumara must Step down” - Sarath Manamendra |

Deputy leader of the Democratic National Alliance Sarath Manamendra stated that if by any chance the DNA is unable to retain the MP post of Gen Sarath Fonseka the DNA national list MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake should resign and give his seat to Mrs. Anoma Fonseka.
He also said that his party has gone to courts to protect the general’s
MP post and they are hopeful that some justice would be done there. He
also said that though JVP former MP Lakshman Nipunarachchi is the next
in line of the preferential list of the DNA he has no moral right to
accept this seat as their party has already said that they will not
accept the MP post of the general, who was evicted by jungle law.
He also said that if Nipunarachchi is coming to the Parliament Anura
Kumara Dissanayake also should resign and give his seat to Mrs. Fonseka.
He also said that if the JVP tries to take both the seats it would be
the end of the Alliance and they will take firm action against it as an
Alliance.
