Karuna Amman before the Truth Commission |

According to Deputy Minister if resettlement Karuna Amman, he too is hoping to appear before the lessons learnt and Reconciliation Commission to give evidence.
He said that he has already got a request from this presidential
commission.
Meanwhile secretary to the commission S.M. Samarakoon said that from the
1st of September the commission will start investigating evidence of
people living in the north and east. The commission will be travelling
to those areas for this purpose and the coordination of the public will
be done by dist secretaries of the north and east. He also said that the
report of this commission will be handed over to the President in six
months.
